Newbie And My Blood Test Results

Recommended Posts

I had no idea that all the symptoms i have been suffering from ALL MY life may come from gluten sensitivity, celicac disease.

I went to immunologist for chronic rash/hives and told him I had Hashimoto's disease. He wanted to do some bloodwork and this is what came back:

IGA 23 High

Ranges >17 Positive

IGG <3

ranges <11 Negative

Thyroglobulin Anitbodies

833 Hight

Range <20

Thhyroid Peroxidase Antibodies

>1000 High

Range <35

Glucose 100 High

Range 65-99

Does anyone care to venture and give me some feedback on these, esp the first two tests?

Thanks!

Rebecca

It's not clear what the IGG and IGA were for...that is a general antibody label. Allergic markers, I think. You have an elevated glucose which is not significant if you had recently eaten, but is significant if it was a fasting blood sugar.

4/2007 Positive IGA, TTG Enterolab results, with severe malabsorption: Two DQ2 celiac genes--highest possible risk.

gluten-free since 4/22/07; SF since 7/07; 3/08 & 7/08 high sugar levels in stool (i.e. cannot break down carbs) digestive enzymes for carbs didn't help; 7/18/08 started SCD as prescribed by my physician (MD).

10/2000 dx LYME disease; 2008 clinical dx CELIAC; Other: hypothyroid, allergies, dupuytrens, high mercury levels
