Against The Grain

Recommended Posts

:D Just want to post a note on how much my girls LOVE, and I mean LOVE Against the Grain pizza shells, bagels and rolls.

I tried them and they are really really yummy. We live in Northern NJ, and we get them from the Chester Health Shoppe.

Here is the web site:

http://www.againstthegraingourmet.com/index.htm

Here is an "availability" link on the site, stating where their products are sold -- East Coast

And here is a post from a while back, raving about Against the Grain products

http://www.glutenfreeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=35942

If you get a chance to try these, you wont be sorry.

Hi Jerseygirl, I have tried their french bread (bagetts)and their rolls. I absolutely love them. I can now make hamburgers and eat them with my family and not cry because my roll is nasty. I also use the french bread for my hot dog roll. You don't even have to heat it up, just defrost. I haven't tried the pizza shells yet, they don't sell them at my local whole foods. I can't wait. Thank you

I am sooooo jealous....I live in California and it seems that so much of the good stuff is on the east coast...I order from Everybody Eats in New York and Conte's in New Jersey but can't seem to find the good stuff readily available here. If anybody has easier suggestions for those of us living on the west coast...I am open for help....

Against the grain is working very hard to get across the US with their wonderful products. It is very time-comsuming to get distributors to move quickly...... eventually they hope to get into Whole Foods & if you have a WW near you keep asking for their products . They may get sick of getting the same request & speed up......

wonderful products, I had sloppy Joe's last night with the buns.....

enjoy

I work in Brattleboro Vt. so have been enjoying these since the day they arrived. My non-celiac son loves them more than any gluten bread he has had. He requests that he wants my bread all the time. It is costing me a fortune. Anyway the baguettes are the best and make great pizzas. My son and I are going to try the pizza crust soon! I think you can order online if you live far away!

I have a friend in NY that found the baguettes and sent them to me. Unfortunately, she has not found the rolls yet, which is what I wanted after a recommendation from mamaw.

I wish against the grain would ship, but so far they don't.

I order from Everybody Eats, (another recommendation from mamaw), and they are good, too. I like the baguettes from against the grain better though.

One thing we love from Everybody Eats, is the regular loaf bread. If you have never tried it, I recommend it. It makes the best toast. Even my husband who has his own gluten bread will ask for the toast to be made from my bread. It is a very small and expensive loaf, but makes devine toast and grilled cheese sandwiches.
