Tacoma Wa..... Looking For Gluten Free Restaurants

We live in Gig Harbor WA.... just across the bridge from Tacoma. We are looking for restaurant ideas for Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Bremerton, or surrounding areas. We know about Outback, PF changs in Seattle and the Old Spaghetti Factory.... but would love some more ideas. Of course we would be thrilled if a there was a pizza joint with gluten free crusts... please, please.

There is a place in Bremerton that makes a gluten-free pizza crust. Foley's pizza 724 Lebo Blvd 360-373-7222

I've never been there so, I don't know what it is like.

A month or so ago someone posted about a new restaurant called Woody's on the Water that had gluten-free options. I haven't been there, but Open Original Shared Link.

I know it's a little outside of the area you wanted, but Federal Way has a McGrath's Fish House, which has a gluten-free menu. I haven't been there yet, but I got the menu emailed to me from their corporate office and it's making my mouth water!

Can someone tell me how you can get a gluten-free pizza free from CC in a regular wheat-pizza place? I just don't see how it is possible, although I am definitely going to check out Foley's next time I visit my sister.

I have had a gluten-free pizza from a normal place that is down in Phoenix. They had a dedicated prep area away from the regular stuff. Plus dedicated pans etc.

We have a bride on a gluten-free diet and heed to host a rehearsal dinner in Federal Way, Wa. McGrath's fish house doesn't have a room, only booths. The only options remaining for us at this point are Marie Callenders, Copper Falls on the Auburn Golf Course, and their sister restaurant, Verazano's (Italian) which we hope have affordable buffets starting at $25/pp (willing to "work with us" on gluten-free items). Most other places either don't have gluten-free or not suitable for a 40-person rehearsal dinner. Outback steakhouse didn't have a room. There are a lot of restaurants in the area but not many that meet our criteria. Billy McHales doesn't have a gluten-free menu.

Il Lucano Ristorante on Judson Street in Gig Harbor has an absolutely fabulous Gluten Free menu. This is a true Italian restaurant, a real gem.

There are two pizza establishments in the Northwest that have recently been accredited as maintaining Best Practices for Gluten Free Food Services, a program of the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America - Garlic Jim's Pizza and Jet City Pizza. However, NOT all locations have met these requirements. The following Garlic Jim's Pizza locations have been accredited: Vancouver & Ravenna, WA (others have been accredited throughout the US). There is a Great Pizza Place on 6th Ave in Tacoma called Farrelles also there is another just east of it across the street on 6th ave, although I don't remember the name of that place. at Farrelles you need to ask the waiter to be sure they do not give you gluten in yours. I ordered one and it was great! It is also a fun place to eat....

So this isn't in gig harbor, but my husband found this restaurant in Seattle called Razzi's and it is well worth it if you are ever up there and want a change from the Spaghetti Factory- They had a full 3 page gluten-free menu with amazing options, both Greek and Italian....pita bread, pizza, gyros. And what was awesome was a lot of the stuff was gluten-free, Egg, Soy, Dairy, Nut, and rice free- since many of us have multiple allergies. Enjoy!

Wow! Nice! Gonna see if they have a menu online. Sounds too good to be true!

      Im so frustrated and still getting the run around trying to reprove my celiac disease which my past primary ignored for 25 years.I understand that theres a ray of medical that doctors are limited too but not listening and telling the patient ( me) that im not as sensitive as I think and NOT celiac!Correction Mr white coat its not what I think but for cause and affect and past test that are not sticking in my medical records.I get sick violently with foods consumed, not eating the foods will show Im fabulous. After many blood draws and going through doctors I have the HLA- DQ2 positive which I read in a study that Iran conducted that the severity in celiac is in that gene.Im glutenfree and dealing with related issues which core issue of celiac isn't addressed. My skin, right eye, left leg diagestive issues affected. I have high blood pressure because im in pain.Im waisting my time on trying to reprove that Im celiac which is not a disease I want, but unfortunately have.It  has taken over my life personally and professionally. How do I stop getting medically gaslight and get the help needed to bounce back if I ever do bounce back to normal? I thought I was in good care with " celiac specialist " but in her eyes Im good.Im NOT.Sibo positive, IBS, Chronic Fatigue just to name a few and its all related to what I like to call a ghost disease ( celiac) since doctors don't seem to take it seriously.

      @Martha Mitchell, your reaction to the lens implant with gluten sounds like it could be an allergic reaction rather than a celiac reaction. It is possible for a celiac to be also allergic to gluten as it is a protein component in wheat, barley and rye.

      Scott I also have different symptoms than most people. It affects me bad. Stomach ache, headache, nauseous, heart racing, whole body shaking, can't walk then my throat starts to close. It attacks my nervous system. The only thing that saves me is a 1/2 of Xanax...it calms down my nervous system

      Scott Adams. I was dealing with a DR that didn't care about me being celiac. I repeatedly told him that I was celiac and is everything gluten-free. He put an acrylic lens from j&j. I called the company to ask about gluten and was told yes that the acrylic they use has gluten....then they back tracked immediately and stopped talking to me. The Dr didn't care that I was having issues. It took me 6 months and a lot of sickness to get it removed.... which can only happen within 6 months. The Dr that took it out said that it was fused and that's why I lost vision. If they would have removed it right away everything would be fine. He put in a silicone one that was gluten-free and I've had no issues at all in the other eye. Do not do acrylic!
