deener 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted January 4, 2005 Hi there. Well, I've been a "lurker" for about 3 yrs. now and I have just decided to finally log into and join. I am 8 wks. preggie with my 3rd. This is my first preg. since diagnosed with celiac disease. I am due Aug. 20th. I am in the very tired stage and for the last week and a half, I had felt queezy all day. I thought to try something. I haven't taken my pre natal vits. for 2 days now and all the nausea is gone. They were GNC gluten-free vits. Does anyone have another they reccomend? I don't want to buy any off the internet, so is there one in a store or pharmacy? How about walmart brand? I hate being off them, but I feel much better. Also, what kinds of menues or dishes do you eat now that your preg? Before, I would not be so gluten-free consious. But now, I'm paranoid that I will have something with gluten in it. Can anyone give me some ideas. Right now I can't get enough salt!!!! I love freetos!!! Thanks for any advise that comes my way. Good luck to all and bye for now!
cdford 2 Posted January 5, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted January 5, 2005 I craved salt also when I was pregnant. The OBGYN told me that as long as my blood pressure was okay not to worry about it. Check with yours and hopefully he will say the same. Try some b-complex for the nausea and fatigue. They worked wonders for me with my four pregancies (3 live births). I know that Perrigo labs are gluten free. They are distributed as store brands through Kroger, Wal-mart, and Target that I know of. Their logo looks like a rounded rectangle with a comma hook off the right side. Since I know that their lab is gluten-free, those are the only OTC meds that we use around here. Donna South Georgia 9 yrs gluten-free ...also DH, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, osteopenia, hypothyroid... After almost 10 years, I am doing soooo much better!
msserena 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted January 5, 2005 Hi deener Glad to have you here. I do know that when my daughter was pg, the prenatal vit made her sick all the time. So the doc told her to try flintstones. Check and make sure they are gluten-free first of course
