I'm in the Kalamazoo Area, i am willing to travel to see a good dr for a second opinion. I saw Christina Minger and I don't really like her. I think her diagnosis of gluten was accurate but she's been sort of rude and doesn't understand well.

anyway.

If you know any, let me know!

thanks

Good morning:

I am not sure if you have received any more information yet but I would recommend Michigan Gastro Institute, it's in East Lansing. I see Dr. Oliveri, she is great! The number is 517-332-1200. I am self diagnosed but I went through most all the tests except for genetic. My mother sees her for her Celiac and she was very responsive and suggested I try the gluten-free diet. It worked and I feel great. The only issue with the office is that they are VERY busy and sometimes it can take a while to get a response from them, I just keep bugging them. Hope it helps.

He's spoke at our celiac group as well. Nice guy, listens well, write things down, and is familiar with kids and celiac/food allergens.

Regarding Dr, Christina Minger; I have been a patient of Dr. Minger's for over 6 years and find your comments about her being rude or not understanding totally unfounded. Her work in the area of food intolerance and metabolics is confirmed by many as priemire in the country. Her compassion and caring for her patients is next to none as compared to western medical pyhsicians and care givers. She has been an outstanding care giver in my case and in numrous others that I know of in the west Michigan area and from my understanding several surrounding states. Dr. Minger is highly respected in her field and in her community.

I find myself wondering why you would question someone else's experience? Dr. Minger might be a wonderful doctor, and you may have had a terrific experience as her patient, but that doesn't mean that she would be the right match for every patient.

If the original poster had a negative experience with Dr. Minger, that person has every right to post his or her opinion about the experience. You don't have the right to call another person's experience "unfounded." That was THEIR experience, and they found it! And frankly, the original poster made much more effort than you did at being fair and unbiased.

You sound like you might work for Dr. Minger?

In any case, I think you owe the original poster an apology.
