Subject: Gluten Ingredients?

Dear Joe,

We are glad to inform you that our Limoncello is gluten-free. In particular please consider it is made from alcohol from molasses, conforming with the (CE) Regulation 110/2008. For this reasons all the people that must avoid all "gluten" could enjoy our limoncello without any fear.

Hoping our reply fully meet your request, we remain at your disposal for any further request you may have,

Yours Sincerely.

Oggetto: Gluten Ingredients?

Hi,

I have Celiac disease and am on a strict gluten-free diet for life. Can you

please tell me if Villa Massa Limoncello contains any gluten containing

ingredients (wheat, barley, rye or oats)?

Thank you for your help!

Best regards,

Joe

Love the Limoncello! Don't know what kind I had, it's just a cool bottle now without a label. My stepdaughter brought it from Italy and gave it to me. There are maybe 4 or 5 brands available here in Dallas.

I don't think I personally would worry too much about them containing gluten. I've drank quite a few varieties of distilled alcohol products before and after my diagnosis with no glutening problems.

best regards, lm

yeah i didn't think there was much danger of glutening, but since i've been gluten-free (since december) i've only been drinking bacardi rum, captain morgan, tequila or potato vodka. i'm excited to make martinis with potato vodka and limoncello now. talk about strong, yummy drink!

:) see ya around

Really like Villa Massa Limoncello. After a trip to Italy last May decided to make my own and it's so good. Can make three bottles for the price of one. Found the recipe on the internet and it's easy, but you need to be patient. The recipe calls for vodka (I use potato vodka, Blue Ice) and Everclear. Peels infuse for 40 days and then add sugar water and let it sit another 40 days or so. We never let it sit that long. Just tried a different batch with organic Meyer lemons from Whole Foods. It rocks! Plus it's just fun to make your own.

That sounds like fun all right. I love Meyer lemons, they are expensive though. Also, our Central Market sometimes has Valley Limes (I'm assuming Texas valley that borders Mexico). They look like lemons on the outside but crazy good limes on the inside.

I'm sipping some Caravella limonsello Originale d 'Italia at the moment. OK, so I went and poured some when I read this post :P . It's not bad, don't think it's quite as good as the other stuff I had though. I chose it cause it was the least expensive of about 5 brands at the store and I'm kind of cheap. A word of caution for those of us that are very sensitive to such things, it say's on the label it is made from the finest grains. I would assume that means wheat. Not a problem for me, as far as I know.

best regards, lm
