as an addendum,

just came back from dinner in MIlan at

osteria dei 5 sensi

Open Original Shared Link

Another great place listed by the Italian Celiac Association.

A lot of choices and without a doubt the best gluten-free rolls I ever had.

Fantastic pastas and salads too.

Thanks so much Ken for scouting out additional restaurants in my area (and right around the corner too!). Once I found the Be Bop Cafe I didn't venture further, but both the places you've listed look sublime (ahhh wonderful salamis and exquisite cheeses are right up my alley!).

e molto gentile da parte sua

Hope I can have as much luck in parma -- did find a good place around the corner with gluten-free pasta but pigged out in the room on the farmacia goodies.

trying to decide what to do tonight as the places for dinner dont open to 8.

Meetings went well in Bra and Pollenzo & Margy got her asti in Asti.

take care

Last night after a month in Italy and time sure flies.

Am sitting in Ancona on the Adriatic thinking that I need to have this place mentioned in the forum files.

Restorante Osteria Teatro Strabacco in Via Oberdan n. 2

near the central area of Ancona is well worth the trip to this out of the way port town.

it is mentioned on the Italian Celiac Assoc. website but is not mentioned is the number of choices they have.

Really pigged out with a pizza with eggplant, zuchinni and onions, cannoloni and ravioli.

Yeah I ate for 3 but its been a lot of years since I had ravioli and couldnt resist. Another family came in while we were there for lunch. Their little boy had ceilac too and they had driven from 4 hours south to see a specialist here and were taking him to lunch. He ordered two other pastas. They also have a lot of fish and meats in this really great old style place. The owner who's pictures was on the wall with hundreds of Italian celebrities looked like a younger shorter version of me so we hit it off. I do have the feeling he would hit it off with anyone making them feel welcome in the place.

Amelia -- thanks agian for the goodies, they reaLLY saved me when out in the sticks.

Only so many times i can eat ham and cheese -- even if it is the best Procusitto and pecorino.

Off to Germany tomorrow..

Ken

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.

My daughter has celiac disease and has had for a long time. She fell loses strictly gluten-free diet and recently got rid of all cutting boards in any gluten in her house at all. She just had a stool test and it came back showing of gigantic response to gluten in her diet. What could be going on since she doesn't eat any gluten and is very careful about any kind of hidden glue? Help!
