Hang in there sweetfudge. I'm there with you! :) Fruit and veg, as much as I like them, don't evoke that emotional response that dairy and gluteny carbs do.

I'll second the muddy buddies and add chex mix. I picked some fresh okra from the garden that I got pretty excited over. It was so good! I am waiting for my plants to produce more than the 4 pods that I've harvested so far.

Back to snacks, I make individual pineapple upsidedown cakes with the Namaste mix (white or yellow cake?)in and muffin tins. I may try another fruit too. The mix has sorghum so isn't as light as the rice flour mixes but the sorghum goes well with this kind of upsidedown cake and the cakes are still spongy and moist and not too heavy or dense. They go good with a cup of tea in cooler weather.

I'm pretty darn happy to have my old recipe for apple crisp with oats in the topping.

Thank goodness we still have chocolate and brownies and chocolate cake!

Trader joe's frozen gluten-free pancakes, with chunky peanut butter. I could eat that all day.

OK, I have to give fruit a little more credit. I'm sitting here really enjoying good fresh figs that I got at Costco, Yesterday they were selling large trays of large fresh figs for the price of one little basket that usually has only a few.

Are snickers really gluten free? If so I will be psyched once I am back to eating dairy.

I REALLY like "Gluten Free Girls" recipe for Hummus. I make that, and dip rice chips in that.

Chrissyb--Trader Joe's has gluten free frozen pancakes--really good. (Unfortunately they have soy flour, but maybe that is OK for you?) I realize there are also mixes but sometimes one just wants instant immediate pancakes.

My current vice is dark chocolate--no dairy, no soy, and as low in sugar as possible. I also love Lundberg rice chips with guacamole.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?
    • Aussienae
I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.
    • trents
What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
