Rapid Transit Time

Recommended Posts

Can rapid transit time be a symptom of gluten tolerance? When my two year old eats something, I see undigested chunks of it within 12 hours in his poop(sorry so graphic!).

Thanks,

Lisa

In my opinion, definitely! When the body recognizes that something is a poison, it immediately goes into high-gear to eliminate it. This is why diarrhea often happens. The body is flooding water to the area to flush it out, and instead of absorbing the water in the large intestines, like normally would happen, it just quickly flushes it through to get rid of whatever is making you sick. Same thing with transit time. Body says "Get it OUT, and get it out fast".
