Hi!

I am training for a marathon. I did one years ago before I was diagnosed and used Power Gel in training. It made me really sick when I used it. For the marathon I used GU instead and did fine with it. Does any do any type of endurance sports where you use supplements like this to get you through the event? If so, what do you use?

I have run 3 marathons, one since being diagnosed with Celiac. I brought a baggie of raisins with me on my long training runs and during the marathon itself and I found those worked great. They're light on sodium but have plenty of potassium. I had read an article in a fitness magazine recommending them as a natural alternative to the gels.

I also drink Gatorade since, as the poster above mentioned, it is gluten-free.
