Amantea Restaurant In Garden City, Mi

I have not tried it but a good friend went there for dinner and said Gluten Free Manicotti was now listed on the menu.

I used to work there when I was in high school and have eaten at that restaurant for nearly 30 years. They have a very large kitchen and I can see how they could segregate the food preparation enough to do this right. The owner's grand parents come in early and make most of the food including Lasagna(which is the best), Ribs(fantastic), their great Prime Rib.

Same owner and same manager since it opened and when I worked there they were very big on doing things in groupings. When we made pizza dough, you made pizza dough in one area, everything got scrubbed and cleaned before you moved onto the next item.

Even when we moved 30 miles away we made it down there at least twice a year to eat and say hello. Now with the gluten problem it's a bit tougher.

It is a model run business. I worked there 20 years ago while in high school and started going there with my parents when I was 5. I'm 36 now and the same waitresses I had when we started going there still work there today. Everyone has a great worth ethic and they did a lot to take care of their employee's.

I don't particularly care for Manicotti but we're going to make a trip down there to try it and see how it is.

Now if I can convince them to make their lasagna wit rice noodles I'll be set :)

They are located on the corner of Warren and Venoy in Garden City.

So, I contacted Scott Adams, the author of that article and also the creator/admin of this website, and pointed out to him the need to clarify the information in the paragraph in question. He has now updated the paragraph and it is clear that the DGP-IGA does serve the purpose of circumventing the false negatives that IGA deficiencies can generate in the tTG-IGA antibody test.

Has anyone experimenced enlarged lymph nodes with celiac? Both in the neck and groin area. Imaging of both areas have said that lymph nodes are reactive in nature. However, they have been present for months and just wondering how long this may take to go down. Been gluten-free for about two months. Blood counts are normal.

Hmm interesting I just assumed that any “IGA” tests including the DPG iga would be negative in a person who is IGA deficient but maybe that is not the case for the DPG test.

If you were just diagnosed I can say that if you go 100% gluten-free should should see dramatic improvement of your symptoms over the next few months, but the hard part is to stay gluten-free. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
