:D I am still determined to lose weight. I am appreciate any weight loss thread of encouragement and want to pass it on. If you are on a restricted diet and want to give it a go let's do it. I am a gluten free 85% dairy free and vegan which means I spend a lot time looking up new recipes and making up recipes. I am unable to exercise right now but not forever and eating healthy is numero uno! Eat very healthy just too much - I love to eat but not more than my health or weight. . My weight loss goal is 20 pounds. My first goal is 5 pounds. I have been a life member of weight watchers and this has been the only diet I can follow that is in moderation and lose weight however - I am finding it is an awful lot of work to document all my recipes for points etc. I guess counting calories would be hard too. I am proposing a weigh in day and daily inspiration online can happen anytime with just encouragement or recipe sharing etc. I like Wednesdays for my weight in day because it is in the middle of the week and the weekend is not too far away for mishaps. The hard time I having with WW this time is I have to look up all the "alternative" foods we eat. Anyone up for it? come on in and share . Postively successful diet here we come!

It's possible, as there are other things that may cause elevated tTg-IgA levels, but in general a reaction to gluten is the culprit:    Also, approximately 10x more people have non-celiac gluten sensitivity than have celiac disease, but there isn’t yet a test for NCGS. If your symptoms go away on a gluten-free diet it would likely signal NCGS.

Perhaps you could bring you own? Not sure, but worth a try.

I received my ANA test results - negative.  I'm thinking it was infection, was put on antibiotics for suspected sibo at the time blood test was taken. Significant improvements from taking them even while eating gluten.

Thanks again. I've actually convinced my local butcher shop to start carrying Ghostfish gluten-free beer. It's not bad! But you won't often find it at a ski lodge.

Villi damage is caused by celiac disease, which does not happen in NCGS, although some people with NCGS do have elevated antibody levels. Some people with NCGS who have the genes for celiac disease may end up developing celiac disease, so in some people NCGS may be a precursor to celiac disease, but more research needs to be done on NCGS. Both low iron and vitamin D are common symptoms of celiac disease. Also, regarding beer:
