Celiac? 'missing' Some Symptoms Though

Well, I've yet to see a doctor, and am wondering if I should go. The thing is that I've recently seen him quite a bit due to him not finding any problem with me (I then went to see an other doctor and he properly diagnosed me), so I don't want to bother him too much.

My longer term symptoms include stomach pain (though it seems more from gas), bloating, gas, a very high sensitivity to oats, cereals, soy milk, milk (cheese as well, but not as much), and pasta (from what I can remember at the moment).

Recently I've also developed bumps on the roof of my mouth, a couple pounds of weight loss in recent months, stool changes (not diarrhea, but more that my stools aren't coming out in a large long shape, but rather smaller, although they pass just as easily), despite my eating habits being the same. I've also been more tired, and become very tired almost immediately after eating something high in wheat. I've also noticed tingling in my hands and feet.

Absolutely no vomiting, diarrhea, skin rashes, nausea, headaches, or increase in appetite.

Basically then, should I ask for tests? Which ones?

Thanls

Hello! There is no harm in asking for some tests. Your symptoms do sound like Celiac Disease. We all do not have the same, or even "classic," symptoms. 3 of us in my family are diagnosed and all 3 of us have different symptoms.

Can you list the tests that I should ask for?

Thanks!

I'm at the point where I hope it's celiac.

Hi,

This article might help with the tests.

I don't have symptoms now. But this DGP IgG is high than normal. I read your article. Very nice by the way. Based on it I don't need to do DGP IgG because I don't have IgA deficiency. I did it first time because those days I didn't know the right procedure for blood tests so I did all. What might you do if you was me? Just keep eating gluten and do tests again after some time? Biopsy is not available in my town. I also read somewhere if a person has NCGS he doesn't have any blood tests high. Very confusing situation.

What can I do next? Just continue getting gluten from food and do the tests again after some time like 6 months while observing symptoms if any? I read somewhere if a person has NCGS he shouldn't have any blood tests high. So I'm worry.

Wow she was just playing with play dough yesterday and I actually thought i wonder if I have to worry about play dough! But no meltdowns yesterday. Is your daughter celiac or just gluten sensitive/intolerant? Your son still had to go on Ritalin after going gluten free?

I had the endoscopy with biopsy done. I have gastritis and duodenitis at this point. The biopsy should provide the cause of the inflammation findings. How common are these findings when Celiac is the ultimate culprit?

Welcome to the forum @cookiesyum, I lasted on staton for about a month before getting so weak I had to stop.   Switched to Nicotinic Acid and I posted the results in a previous post.  Instead of getting sicker and weaker on the statin I feel I am improving day by day.  Nicotinic Acid was first used for cholesterol in 1955.
