Painful/sore Small Intestine Pain?

I'm sorry, I do not know how to word what i'm trying to ask.

At times, right above my belly button and below my stomach "hurts" (It is RIGHT above my belly button..almost on my belly button).

Example: If one of my kids run up and sit on my stomach, it is painful. Almost sore like. Not like a stabbing pain, but a raw ache. I can also feel my heartbeat very strong when I push right there.

It hurts worse after I accidentally eat something with Dairy and/or caffeine.

If i'm just sitting around, it doesn't hurt at all! Only if i'm laying flat on my back or I push on it.

Could this have anything to do with my gallbladder surgery? I can't remember exactly when it started.

I would get it checked out, preferably by the doctor that did your gallbladder surgery. I would imagine it could be any number of things and only your doctor can really tell you what's causing it.

Thank you.

I have my first GI appt Wednesday. I'm just NERVOUS!! I want to know what the heck is going on. What would make it so tender just when I push on it? It makes me wonder if it is yeast overgrowth in intestines, scar tissue from them pulling the gallbladder through there, God forbid ..cancer :(

I'm sure I will get some answers Wed and if not..i'll call my gallbladder surgeon.

I would not worry about cancer. I think your thoughts on scar tissue or possibly even a hernia would be more likely. Anyway try not to worry and hopefully the doctor will have some answers for you.
