Are Canned Vegetables Ok? Progresso Soups?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if most canned vegetables are ok, such as corn, green beans, etc., as long as there aren't any suspicious ingredients on the label? Do I need to worry about CC issues if it just lists the vegetable, water, salt and/or sugar for instance? I need to buy green beans tonight. :)

Also...the Progresso Creamy Mushroom soup...I'd like to try cooking with this. I did notice it lists MSG. Isn't this an ingredient that may not be ok? I do hate eating anything with MSG :( but will try it if it's gluten-free.

Does anyone know if any of their other soups are gluten-free?

Thanks, :P

The canned veggies will be okay. The Progresso soup, well....I do know they are good at labeling but do make sure to read every ingredient. This used to be gluten free but I haven't used it since I had to avoid soy. They should have a phone number or a web site on the can which may give you more info. They do make a lot of nongluten free soups so I would imagine there is CC risk.

Basic canned veggies are OK. Progresso lists gluten. MSG is safe.
