Testing For Antibodies

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

My doctor ordered a ttg test to test for celiac. When I went to the lab there was cost involved so she told me she could do IgG, IgA and IgM instead and it would test the same thing as those are covered. From what I've read those are generic antibody tests - not specific to Celiac. I've come across stories of positive / high results for those that have nothing to do with celiac but various other illnesses

Did she test the right things? Will these results tell me if I have celiac disease?
