Need Good Substitute For Garfava & Other Bean Flours

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm new to this gluten free cooking thing. I'm finding a lot of recipes call for Garfava or other bean flours. My daughter has a bean allergy so I need a good replacement. So far she can still have soy but I hate to put soy in everything in case she would develop an allergy to that as well.

I cannot use Commercial mixes because of her many allergies.

Thanks

Sam

Thanks. I have used sorghum and like what I've made with it so far. I will check out your blog.

You can use ~Gluten Free Pantry flour mix. Xanthan gum is added and it replaces the bean flour mixes without any problems.

You can also use the ~Cravings place mixes. You can buy them by the case from the Largest on-line book retailer. (The system will flag the website as lame advertisement.)

If you need to buy ready made snacks and such ~Enjoy Life usually is free of the top 8 allergens and gluten free too. (We love the chocolate chips!)
