Labeling, What Do I Look For?

Hi. New here, for my teen.

What exactly should I look for on a label to ensure there is no gluten?

I am so lost on all of this.

It's kind of intimidating for a while. Try to skip the packaged foods and buy whole foods. If you need the convenience of a box, look for gluten free on the front. As you get more into the swing of reading labels, look for the obvious - wheat barley rye oats, and also things like malt.
