Ttg Result Analysis

Recommended Posts

TTG IgA > 300 !!

the referenace range is

<4 negative

4-6 slight positive

>10 positive

For my 3.5 years daughter, the count is >300

Chances of celiac disease is almost confirmed, but isnt >300 abnormally too high!! Could there be other reasons for such super-abnormal results!!

Her Hemoglibin is 9.7 and she hasn't gained weight since one year (almost constant over 1 year), Iron test confirmed that she is anemic, and thats why Dr adviced this test.

Any advice / comments will be helpful.

IMHO she is pretty much diagnosed. Her lack of growth and the anemia combined with the celiac testing is pretty conclusive. If you are not going to put her through a biopsy then I would get started on the diet. I am glad your doctor was savvy enough to test and hope she is soon doing better and outgrowing her clothes faster than you can replace them. Your in a great place for info and support, ask any questions you need to and feel free to vent when needed. Now is also the time to test all other family members even if they seem not to have any symptoms.
