Gluten-Free Wheat Fiber?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I came across a multi-grain cereal that has an ingredient labeled "Wheat-Fiber (Gluten-Free." This brand seems pretty good about labeling its food. Has anyone ever heard of Gluten-Free wheat fiber?

I came across another post that mentioned this:

Pacific Natural Foods has this statement on their website about a beef flavored gravy that is listed as gluten-free but not as wheat-free: "This product is Gluten Free (By definition this means less than 10 ppm gluten. The wheat fiber ingredient has no protein and is supplier verified.)

Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with gluten-free wheat fiber?

I consumed a product labelled gluten free, contains wheat fibre, and I wished I hadn't. I didn't feel THAT bad, but I didn't feel good :(

Yeah, it seems like maybe our bodies don't exactly agree with legal definitions all the time :D
