Calcium Citrate Question

Does anyone know if Calcium Citrate is a problem? I read the ingredient label and it said it had "starch." However, it didn't specify what kind of starch. Please let me know!

The labeling regs for supplements and medication are not the same as for foods. Your best bet is to contact the maker and ask what the starch is derived from.

Is there a particular brand you are wondering about? I use Citracal--it's gluten-free for sure. The best way to know for sure is to contact the manufacturer and ask.

Shortly after I wrote this, I saw that it was labeled "gluten free" on the jar. Sometimes it's really hard to spot this pertinent info, isn't it? By the way, it's Walgreens calcium citrate plus magnesium.
