Another Question About Endoscopy

Recommended Posts

I had been off gluten for 5 months when I visited the new doctor, he immediately wanted me to resume eating gluten for one month and then have the endoscopy.

Well after reading a few posts here on the forum, I see that most doctors want you to eat gluten for 3 months and THEN get tested. So now I'm wondering if the endscopy I had this past monday was a waste of time because the doctor only had me eat gluten for just one month. Was one month long enough?

If your test comes back positive, the answer is yes; if it is negative, unfortunately the answer is probably not. This is not to say the test would have been positive given the longer time, but it would have had a better chance of being positive. :)
