What I've Learned From Gluten Intolerance

I have had extreme gluten sensitivity for 6+ years and only figured it was gluten as of last year. I've just lived with immense pain in my GI tract and depression and low energy and anxiety and the rest.

I've been avidly trying to clean myself ever since then. And I've picked up some info along the way that I'd like to share.

Everyone should listen to this radio show about Celiac and Gluten Sensitivity by Dr. Thomas O'Bryan

The things he says in there are stunning. If you have Celiac you are twice as likely to die at any age than anyone without Celiac.

Gluten intolerance is an autoimmune problem -- thereby your immune system is attacking itself. Memory B cells are stored in your blood which are on the lookout for gluten. If you intake gluten just once a month you weaken your immune system by 600% in comparison to not intaking it at all. This is because you immediately activate all those antibodies and they flood your body ready to fight.

For every 1 person with GI tract problems, there are 8 people with "silent" symptoms from gluten - depression, panic attacks, seizures, skin rashes, impaired immune function, joint problems, thyroid problems, impaired learning, the list goes on.

50% of people with gluten intolerance also have lactose intolerance because their lining is shredded and they are unable to produce lactase.

To heal my gut I've first used this formula which is magical at removing Candida and parasites : Healthforce Intestinal Parasite Formula http://www.healthforce.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&flypage=garden_flypage.tpl&product_id=50&category_id=4

It was really magical.. I cannot say much else. Use it in conjunction with the Intestinal Drawing Formula http://healthforce.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&product_id=54&flypage=garden_flypage.tpl&pop=0

which will draw everything it touches out of your intestines.. it is totally imperative as gluten is a heavy protein and will just stay there and stay there for ages. Undigested. And when you do a cleanse, all your gluten symptoms will come back because the gluten will start to move around in your bowels.

It's also essential to use Digestive Enzymes to eat and digest the old gluten in your gut and well as probiotics to repair the flora and damaged climate in the intestines. I use L-Glutamine too to repair the lining cells but cannot speak directly of its effects. MSM I find to be excellent for relieving spasms in the gut and soothing the tissue.. and my mood. (I also make tea of Slipperly Elm and Marshmallow Root for this)

In Chinese Herbal Medicine, I use the Herbal formula Jia Wei Xio Yao Wan ... Free and Easy Wanderer.. which is generally safe for anyone to use.. it really helps make bowel movements and get gas going through the bowels. I believe in TCM this helps solve the Wood element attacking the Earth element.. but I'm not an expert in these matters.

Finally... because gluten intolerance is an auto-immune disorder, you NEED TO CHECK YOUR THYROID! most likely your metabolism slowed down and you are experiencing hypothyroid symptoms -- look them up. they include depression and low energy and coldness and a foggy mind. No one could hurt from adding a little iodine to their diets to return the thyroid back into health.

I hope this helps someone!
