Do Non-Celiacs Intolerants Need To Worry About Cc?

Recommended Posts

I have not been diagnosed with Celiac (ttg iga neg) am trialing a gluten-free diet to see if I'm either a false negative or gluten sensitive/intolerant. I am wondering about the impact of cross contamination on a non-Celiac who is gluten sensitive. Would a gluten sensitive individual need to be concerned about CC?

Diagnosed NCGS April 2012 after battling headaches, canker sores, bloating, heartburn, epigastric pain, buzzed feeling, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, and nausea since November 2010.

gluten-free since November 2011

Yes, because gluten still makes you sick. Exactly how careful might depend on personal tolerances. I am non celiac gluten intolerant, I have no symptoms after eating things that are gluten free but produced in the same facility as foods with gluten. But I'm sure there are some people who can't. Kinda like other allergies/intolerances there are levels of sensitivity that each person must determine for themselves. There is also very little known about the long term consequences of gluten exposure in gluten intolerance.
