LOL...I haven't run into any sarcastic comments....this is how I explain it to friends and family members (this allways shuts them up)!

"Yeah I found out I have Celiacs...yeah I was having horible migraines and muscle cramps,and I allways looked 7 months pregnant, and was allways sick....yeah I had to go to the hospital because I had a seizure! Celiacs...can you beleive it!!! It's an auto imune deisese..caused by Gluten..Yeah,wheat...but it's NOT an allergy...thats diferent...this is much more sinister...it does damage even when its not obvious! We thought I had Multible sclorosis for YEARS...found out all this time it was celiacs...makes sense though...it mimics MS..there both auto imune deseises!YEAH IT MAKES THE BODY ATTACK ITSELF...JUST LIKE ms ATTACKS THE NERVES..THE GLUTION SPREADS AROUND AND YOUR BODY MISTAKES IT FOR THE BAD GUYS AND ENDS UP ATACKING ITSELF...THATS WHY MY ARMS AND LEGS HURT SO MUCH...I GET SEVERE MUSCLE CRAMPS AND CAN'T MOVE BECAUSE IT HURTS SO BAD! alot of people have it but just don't know it...Yeah because it damages the stomache and intestinal tract lining...you can't absorbe nutrishion ...if the Celiacs does'nt mess you up the malnoutrishion will!!!Look at all the weight I've lost...my body thought it was starving..so it packed on the pounds...now that I've cut gluten and dairy out of my diet...no more inflamation and I'm starting to get noutrishion again!!!I've dropped 2 dress sizes! I feel SOOOOO much better!!!"

After that speach...And I recomend you be aggressive..don't let them interupt you...your audience will look around like the boogie man is going to pop out and infect them if they're not careful!! LOL people are so much more understanding when you Mention MS symptoms being the same as Celiacs...make it scary and they don't want to laugh...they start thinking about their OWN aches and pains...makes their brains work!!! LOL

TRUE STORY...and yes for the last 20 years we wern't sure if I had MS or not...took all the Nurological tests and the doctor said 50/50 couldn't say yea or nay...man was I pissed!!! Those tests were torturous...extreamly painful (should be illeagal)...20 years later...over 45 years of undiagnosed Celiacs (not to mention the nurrological damage caused by it)...I am FINALLY diagnosed...(July 2011)....CASIEN INTOLERENT AND NIGHTSHADE INTOLERENT AS WELL!!!

BUT THEY DON'T GIVE ME s$#&!!! IF THEY START TO I TELL'EM ABOUT THE boogie man AND THEY STOP IN THEIR TRACKS!!!! LOL :blink::unsure::D

      Im still not gaining weight I’m on a gluten free diet . And still having issues with constapation started priobiocs figured it would help been over two weeks . I guess it’s going to be a long road for me .

      Enlarged lymph nodes in neck and groin with celiac are not uncommon. They can take time to reduce even after going gluten-free. Monitoring is key.

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
