Gluten And Soy In Newspaper

I've read that gluten is sometimes added to pulp for paper to make it whiter. I've also read that soy ink is used in newspapers. Can anybody conform either?

Never heard of gluten in the pulp, but soy ink is pretty common, even on cash register receipts.

Oh boy, I sure as heck hope not. I start off every day at the kitchen table with the paper and breakfast. Say it isn't so!

Gluten in newsprint is not something to be concerned about. Soy inks are indeed common.
