If You're A Young Adult Struggling With Celiac

This topic is for those feeling depressed about their current health condition, and missing gluten foods, who happen to feel they're the only college kid/young adult dealing with such an issue. I have been gluten free for over a year now, & it feels like I learned a great deal about life from it. I found out I had some not so good friends (1 literally waved a 5 pound bag of flour under my nose when we were @ the store because he didn't believe me: then when I was sick for 2 days after, including my 23rd birthday, he believed me - he's no longer my friend needless to say) & some great ones. (I love my friends now: they ask when I don't feel good if anything was possibly cross contaminated, as they now know what that means) If you feel like your body isn't what you'd like, life will get better being gluten free, & we are all amazing the way we are: I've read posts on here from women feeling insecure about their petite bodies, when in reality, I like petite women & I care more about whether a woman is kind or not then about what she looks like, & I'm sure I can't be the only person who thinks that way. (Plus, cute ones always seem to not know they're cute, & that makes me like them all the more lol) So even if you feel like all your friends are turning on you because they don't believe you, don't worry: everyone on here believes you, thinks you're cool, and will never treat you bad because you can't eat gluten :)

I know the feeling. my cousin tried to get me to eat oreos because to quote "If you only eat a little bit you won't get sick" "Yummm these oreos are SOOOOOO good." " Haha you can't have any" lets just say there was some blood shed over that. ( not litrally but we were both prety steemed)
