Nodular Lymphoid Hyperplasia

Recommended Posts

I was diagnosed in 2007 with Celiac Disease at the age of 30. The following year, I had a Video Capsule Endoscopy at Columbia. The findings showed that much of my mucosa (at least visually) had healed. One finding, which I have been intrigued by ever since was the finding of: Lymphoid Hyperplasia of the Distal Ileum. Has anyone else out there ever had that as part of their diagnosis? The literature out there seems to be minimal in terms of its role in relation to celiac disease and it has bee stated to be somewhat rare. I am trying to find out if this is more common in celiac disease patients than I can find in my research or if I am an exception to the rule.
