I posted here a few weeks ago about looking for Gluten free foods and what types of foods have gluten because my boyfriend was recently diagnosed with DH.

I have since been on a gluten free diet with him, and I prepare only gluten free meals every day for every meal.

I just went shopping today, and found these at Winco, thought I'd share.

I have a chocolate cake in the oven!

So tell us how good it was or wasn't. Rate it on a scale of 1 to 10 if you can. I know sometimes it isn't that simple rating things.

I really like the chocolate cake mix. Cookies are good too, though a little sweet for my taste. :)

I baked the yellow cake for Christmas, and it was dry. I've since found a yellow cake recipe that I'm going to sub some of the milk for fresh lemon juice to make a cake, and it also has 2/3 cup mayonaise which apparently helps with the moisture. You might want to try adding 1/2 to 2/3 cup mayo to the yellow cake. Their site had rave reviews on the chocolate cake. I make my own mayo with extra light olive oil from Costco, since I discovered soy oil bothers me.

Thanks for sharing your find! I got my yellow cake at Winco (Spokane Valley), but I've never found gluten-free bread there. I haven't looked terribly recently, and I'm going to check out our new Trader Joe's selection soon. Where did you find the bread? Was it frozen?

Curious....how are you doing on the gluten-free diet? Are you finding any improvements or changes in your own health? What wonderful support you are offering your boyfriend!!

I use those bagels primarily to make sandwiches. I prefer them to most breads I've tried. Expensive, but still much cheaper than eating out.

Sorry ... didn't mean "free" meat/veg/fruit but meant to be "fresh"...

9months of broken (if any) sleep with the itching is getting to me...

You can also use applesauce for a very moist nice cake, chocolate or vanilla or ?. I susbstitute it for any cake recipe that calls for milk, since I am dairy, soy, & gluten intolerant, and use olive oil for butter or shortening (usually less than it calls for) without any problems.
