Even though my blood test came back negative, I decided to go back to being gluten free. My doctor has been no help. I requested a referral to a GI. She disagreed and won't give me one! Instead she is referring me to another internist for a consult!!!! So I just decided to go gluten free on my own. That was last Thursday.

Symptoms are not gone. But I will say I am feeling better. No fevers this week. Joints are a little better. And I am not nearly as fatigued. The best was that I had two people comment to me yesterday that I looked like I had more energy.

I am still waiting on this appointment with this other doctor.... but I am just so happy because I actually feel like I could be on the road to recovery!

I hope the Internist has a more open mind? You don't need to have a Dr. tell you it's ok to be gluten-free, but it helps a lot if they're on board.

Make a list of all of the symptoms you had..and a list of what's improving. It might be helpful when talking to the new Doc?

I hope so too! I am sick of doctors, to be completely honest. I am tempted to give up on them. If this one looks at me like I am crazy then I am seriously done.

I am starting to bounce back... every day is a little better then then one before. The only difference, is going gluten free. Last night I felt some more joint pain, but it was a terribly rainy night, and I worked both of my jobs yesterday (14 hour day). So I guess that could be expected.

Thank you to everyone who has been so wonderful on this board!
