Salsa Lizano- Hydrolized Vegetable Protein

I've been eating an imported condiment from Central America called Salsa Lizano or Lizano Sauce in English (it's amazing, by the way!). It has a label in Spanish, and then an English label that has been slapped over it (for import purposes) that says: "hydrolized vegetable protein (with corn gluten)" -- does this mean that the HVP is only from corn gluten, or that it contains, among other things, corn gluten, and still might also have wheat?

Anyone else tried Salsa Lizano (it comes from Costa Rica, so if you've spent time there, you've likely had it) and had or not had a reaction?
