I Am Trying To Help My Daughter

This is my first time trying to use this site and I fear I am making a mess of it !!! I need help in knowing how to help my daughter who is 38 years old. For the past 23 years she has suffered with an illness that has been undiagnosable. Her initial symptoms were in her words, "my hands hurt and feel different; my elbows hurt, but the pain is not in my joints, it is all around my joints; I'm very tired; I have a lot of drainage and it is making my throat sore". From that point, her symptoms have progressed to severe total body aches, anemia due to chronic illness, crushing fatigue & weakness, dizziness, rashes and some stomach problems. She has not had the severe GI problems that others have. She has suffered all these years with no available treatment. Episodes keep her frequently home bound. Her recent endoscopy with biopsy was normal. I feel her biopsy was normal, because her GI involvement is not severe. One of her cousins has been diagnosed with celiac and another cousin has severe GI problems. Please help me to know what to do next. Thank you. mnmom

Has she had a food allergy blood test done? Celiac blood test? Has she tried the gluten free diet? It only takes a few days after going gluten free to feel the benefits!

Hi, Thanks for your help. My daughter has not been tested for food allergy. She did have a celiac blood test years ago that was negative. I think our next step would be going gluten free and/or having her DNA tested. Do you know of a respected lab to do her DNA? I will welcome any ideas that you may have. Thank you. mnmom
