I am just going to whine whine whine...

There are not enough sad faces to print here!

On Saturday, I went to a birthday party. It was my Boyfriends classmates son's 3rd bDay party. Anyway, we got there a little early and the mom was not yet ready and kind of losing it. She had never decorated a cake before and did not really know how to do it.. So.. I kind of just took over.

It looked just like this... exactly like this.. in fact.. this is from pintrest and I wonder if it is her account.. haha.. probably not.

Anyway... the black part is made from crushed oreos.. and there was oreo all over everything, and I KNOW I accidentally ate some. Just licked a messy finger when I was all done without thinking. *sighs*

I have been here in Seattle for 3 months now. I am STILL trying to find a job. I owned my own private school for gifted children (insert x-men jokes here) on Oahu for 8 years.. yet I have only managed to snag 3 interviews in the past 3 months. I AM SO UPSET ABOUT THIS. I just want to cry. I feel defeated and useless. I know this is not true..but one can only take so much rejection without reaction, right? I met a lot of nice people at that birthday party. Some strange woman kept asking for my phone number to make a cake for her kid... which is just weird because I do not usually decorate cakes. Train ..thoughts.. crashed.

I also met a woman from Craigslist who was looking for a circle of friends. I know, I know, but I am lonely!! We seemed to hit it off rather well. I enjoyed her company, and she did not seem like a serial killer etc. I wrote her an email the other day and she has not responded. I do not know if I am too weird for her or she is just super busy. Since I am on a downward spiral of blah... the first choice seems to be the one to go for. Maybe I should start a gifted Adults support group. I cannot be the only vibrant, creative, "too much" freak here in the city.

and now? more D, because even though I puked right after the glutening, some of it must have gotten through.... SMH....

Aw, sorry to hear about the glutening. One time my husband screamed NOOOOO at me in a BBQ restaurant we go to, because I had speared a piece of his sausage on his plate... that had been served with a slice of bread sitting on top. I was really unhappy but glad he almost caught it I guess, lol.

There is a website called meetup.com and they host legitimate groups basically doing the website that has a calendar and forum for each group. Check it out, I know around here there are lots on it like support groups, parent groups, religious, crafting, all kinds of stuff. May be able to find a group for other smart adults there. I understand the need for that, for sure.

My boyfriend is really good about remembering to not kiss if he had gluten. I am so thank he pays good attention. I am glad your guy does too!

I have used meetup while in Hawaii, but I do not have the energy to be the one running the group. I took a look and did not see anything so far, but I should perhaps look more closely. I really am an introvert, but without working, I am getting too much alone time (if there can BE such a thing) and I need contact with other humans. Oy.. that is so surprising for me hahaah :D

Ha! I am an introvert the same way, too. I hole up in my house, working from home, and may never see someone other than my husband until I have to go to a doctors appointment, lol. I value my alone time, too, but have to force myself to stop the isolation, lol.

You ladies really cheered me up. Thank you. My craigslist friend suddenly called and said let's go to the zoo yesterday.. so right after a surprise interview..we did. Another interested party called today and wants to interview me next Thursday. I think maybe just getting glutened suddenly made me extra sad and emotional? I do not know. I have never really noticed any psychological effects. I have been on anti depressants for haha existential depression, for the past 2 years though. I would just WEEP and lose it if I watched the news... some people have NO empathy, I have WAY TOO MUCH.

I have noticed how I would get overly sensitive . I would cry watching commercials. I have spent days at work and at home trying not to cry constantly. I have definatly noticed how much happier I seem to be since I have been gluten free. Also, I have always been an introvert. I have been divorced for 15 years and haven't so much as dated for 12 years. Just not interested, no other reason. I have always ate out by myself unless I went with my kids who are all grown now. I talk more to strangers than people I know. I even found an e-mail friend on craigslist just to talk to. We never met or intended to, just someone I could talk to and say anything that was on my mind. That happened happened when I got really sick and became fullblown gluten intolerant. I didn't know what was wrong with me. I am so glad Im better now.
