Armin Alaedini, PhD
Neurological Manifestations of Celiac Disease
Dr. Alaedini is Assistant Professor of Medical Science in the Department of Medicine
and the Institute of Human Nutrition at Columbia University. Currently, he
also heads the Celiac Disease Center Research Laboratory at Columbia.
Dr. Alaedini will:
- Provide history of research on celiac disease and its effects on the nervous system
- Identify neurological manifestations of celiac disease
- Explain current research on the potential role of gluten in conditions including
ataxia, peripheral neuropathy, schizophrenia and autism
- Discuss research findings regarding the immune response to gluten in neurologic
and psychiatric disease
- Answer your questions!
