    • I have been a migraine sufferer for 20+ years; since a teenager.   Mine have luckily been controlled by Inderal as well as a diet eliminating MSG and artificial sweeteners.  However, in May I had a major round of migraines including 4 terrible headaches, aura, nausea, and the works in 4 days.  In the weeks after I experienced random numb hands and feet; occasionally just one side and other times both at once.  Then it would go away.  In addition, I experienced a lot of brain fog, fatigue, and random mild headaches.   I have also had minor tinnitus for years. Looking back on my previous episode of migraines, they were accompanied by what seemed like the stomach flu for a couple of days. Something is going on so I've done some research and I'm looking towards celiac or gluten intolerance as a possibility.  My senses have been heightened and I now notice that when I eat certain things I experience some symptoms.  For instance, yesterday I took my kids to McDonalds and about 2 - 3 hours after I had stomach pain and a bout of diarrhea.   I didn't notice these in the past or just blew them off, but it seems to be a sign of something. I guess my question is does or did anyone experience migraines as part of celiac's?
    • Welcome.  I think that the IgA and IgG tests are ordered as control tests for celiac disease testing.  If in range (or close to it), the TTG IgA and the TTG IgG tests are considered to be valid (results accurate).  Those tests also let a doctor know if there is an immune system issue.  You are talking about immunoglobulin tests, right?   The EMA and DGP celiac tests are missing.  What made the doctor move forward with biopsies if the TTG screening test was negative?   A negative biopsy is possible as the small intestine is vast (size if a tennis court).  Patches of damage can be missed. What did the doctor say?  Was anything found (e.g. SIBO, H. Pylori, etc)?
    • Hi,   I'm trying to sort out my 11 year old daughter who has a lot of stomach pain and belching.  Her IGG and IGA were both positive 203 and 68 (above 25 positive at this lab) her TTG was negative and her biopsy was negative.  What does this mixed result mean?   Thanks for your insight,   Susan
