    • Good advice from Ennis. My doctor (allergist MD) had me eliminate gluten, and a whole lot of other things, and said to continue with my elimination diet until symptoms improved. When you add gluten back in try to do it in a form that is a 'pure' as possible. I used Cream of Wheat and Triscuits and though it took 3 days for a severe reaction to happen it did. He said to add it back in for a week or until I reacted. After I reacted he sent me to a GI who confirmed celiac. My diagnosis was before the newer tests came along and I also showed a false negative with blood testing.
    • So almost a YEAR ago I started purchasing a trail mix that had a good price and I liked. I checked ingredients back then and it had nothing gluten and no warning. I noticed the label changed a while back but didn't think twice about double checking ingredients. Today I get the idea to look at it, and yup, says it might have trace amounts of things including gluten. Well I'm such an idiot. Should always check labels. I ate the dang stuff nearly every day . Kids are finishing up my last package as we speak. I can't believe I did that. You'd think with 9 years experience I'd know better. I feel like a fool and I'm so mad at myself.
    • A quick google search tells me I'd have to be taking 40,000 - 50,000 IU a day for at least a couple months for that to happen. Between my multivitamin and sublingual D3 I'm getting about 5,500 IU a day and I don't get it from anywhere else, like the sun, since I can barely go outside. I've only added the 5,000 from the sublingual a couple weeks ago. I'm not too worried about it. It looks like us newbies just need more time to recover. Thanks again everyone. It's good to know that we're not alone.
    • Yep I nailed a JAXpac meal prep kit on amazon day and have been leaving my house more with it packing my own gluten-free herbed flat bread, salads, almond butter, and seeds with me. Made a nice vegan  taco soup the other day with my own cheese sauce, keto salsa (watered down low carb version thickened to a sauce with konjac) miracle rice, and jackfruit meat sub, was great with some taco seasoned thin flat breads from my newest recipe used as tortillas. Lifes been good for me this month celiac health wise. >.< everything else is SUPER bad lol.
    • Yep, we really have it good when you think about it. The only treatment for us is eating gluten free. No pills, no chemo, no radiation. And there is plenty for us to eat, especially now with so many gluten-free foods on the market that are tasty. Labeling laws make it easier too. 20 years ago, these things were not true and celiacs had to be wary of so much. I am glad to hear you are taking your own food when eating out. Kudos!
