    I cruised with Royal Caribbean, it was fine and they even brought me gluten free bread with my supper.
  5. I Want To Own A Gluten Free Rest.

    I have done this, I own a gluten free tea room and gift shop. We serve light lunches and snacks. We are in Alberta, Canada. I have two kinds of bread that I serve, we have a few people who eat there that are not gluten-free. Some of the non gluten-free people don't care for the bread and that is fine. I probably sell close to 6 loaves of bread a week sometimes more. Our brownies sell wonderfully as do our muffins. We do not however rely on food sales to keep our business going. We have gifts and will be bringing in dry goods as it has been requested by our celiac customers. The tea is the biggest seller and we are getting known for that. We opened in August 2008 so we are still new and still working out kinks and stuff. Owning a tea room and gift shop has been a dream of mine for a long time, I'm glad to be able to do it and to reach out to the celiacs. We get wonderful reactions when they find out we are totally gluten-free.

  9. I don't think any of our brains are what they used to be.
  10. No the cereal itself hasn't actually changed but it isn't safe anymore. The processing has changed to a line that also produces items with gluten. It used to say Gluten Free on the box now it just says Wheat Free, it was causing me to be slightly upset in my gut. It was subtle enough that I didn't know I was being glutened and thought I was fighting off something. I believe in Canada it is 20ppm or less to be called gluten free but I'm not totally sure about that. Lorka, I'm not sure that I am allowed to post the name of the cereal or company so I won't but you can PM me if you like.
  11. I've been eating this gluten free corn flakes for a couple of years or more and now it isn't gluten free. But I didn't catch that for about 2 boxes worth. I couldn't figure out why I haven't been feeling well until I went to buy a box yesterday and noticed it no longer said gluten free, now it just says wheat free. I'm so not impressed. Nowhere on the box does it say it isn't gluten free or list where it could get gluten. Ingredients haven't changed, corn meal, grape juice, sea salt. As for the line it is produced on all it says is "This cereal was made at our organic cereal factory on the Pacific West Coast" Made in Canada. What bugs me the most is the change from gluten free to just wheat free. Now I have to find a new cereal.
  12. Oh No! The Dishwasher?

    I have no problem with my dishwasher and live in a combined household. LOL Do you have seperate butter/margerine? What about toaster? Have you cleaned that dishwasher well, taken out the spray arms and flush them clean. I don't worry about my dishcloths either but interesting thoughts. I hope this helps Esther.   14. Royal Caribbean?

    I cruised with RC earlier this year, when you get on to the ship go to the dinning room and talk to the head waiter and let them know. They are very good to work with and even had gluten free bread for me, it was really nice, and they had desserts for me too. I only eat my supper in the dinning room I ate at the buffet for other meals. The only thing I didn't like was ordering my meals ahead of time, they have you pre order your meal for the next night. I guess it is easier this way to keep it gluten-free. The mashed potatoes are not gluten free. Other then that I had lots to eat. Take sweet snacks though cause there isn't much gluten-free there for that, loads of fruit though.
