  1. I know exactly how you feel. My husband has celiac disease, and we both try to stay as informed as possible. There are so many areas things that are out of control-from food labeling to cross-contamination, and so on. My husband goes out to eat every day at lunch, and many times he has to eat out for dinner as well. There are so many areas of hidden gluten, and he too suffers when he has ingested gluten. He becomes irrationally angry, and sleeps a lot. I find him incredibly difficult to be around as I am often the target of many of his tirades. After a few days he "comes to his senses" and feels bad. I am a patient person, and feel bad that this happens to him, but it comes to the point where I can't live like this. All these up and downs are SO frusterating!!! Has anyone else experienced this?
  2. Thanks for your feedback. I am going to get them...
  3. Thank you all for your replies. There is some comfort in knowing he is not the only to experience this. I will take your advice and try the B-6 and B-12 combo and see if that will help at all too... It's so difficult when these "attacks" happen because even he can't identify it until it passes, and then he can't believe how bad he felt and how difficult he was! Do any of you use the restaurant cards when dining out? Have these proven helpful? My husband eats out all the time, which is where some of these gluten issues arise. I was going to buy the cards, but wasn't sure if they were helpful for the restaurants?
  4. I am new to this board, and new to celiac disease in general...My husband has celiac disease, and I find that whenever he has accidentially ingested some sort of gluten, he suffers severe mood swings. He becomes a totally different person. Does this happen to anyone else? Are there any vitamin supplements or anything else that could be helpful in these situations?
