  2. Hi I'm looking for a good buffalo chicken sauce. I bought Nance's chicken wing sauce, got home and found it had mustard flour in it . That's what I get for not bringing my glasses. Any suggestions or mustard flour comments will be appreciated. Thanks

  4. My daugher is 12 and was diagnosed in May, she is doing well. The Dr didn't tell us when to follow up. Should we??? Maybe we could follow up with her primary care physician? Do most Gastro Doctors follow up with another biopsy and if so how long? Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. Hi Sharon I'm sorry for all you have been through.....I can relate. My family always critisized my daughter for being thin and asked do you feed her..YUCK. My peditrician did more blood tests. I am so thankful that he took the time and had the insight. My daughter is 12 and has made great strides in 5 months. Don't look back ..look forward. Kids are unbelievable. My daughter is cool calm and collected. She is doing awesome and has a clue. Your son will too. Kids are amazing wait and see. Good luck!!!!
  6. Just wanted to share this. My 12 yr old was diagnosed in May. She had no symptoms but was small stature. She has gained 5lbs and grown 3inches. I purchased rice crackers the other day. She called me at work and told me they were baked at a company where other products were also baked with wheat. ALA cross contamination. She thought we should throw them away and we did. I'm so proud of her. I wasn't so careful I just assumed...rice cracker ...this is ok. I'm lucky she reads labels.
  7. Hi My daughter has been diasnosed 1 month ago. She is 12. Does anyone have the skinny on mono-diglycerides. I'm asking every where we go "do you know the ingredients in this or that are?. I always get a blank look and then they go ask the manager. Every time I ask about ice cream whether it be Brighams or Friendly's this is an ingredient. I'm guessing not good. She loves soft serve and I read Dairy Queen is OK. Any info is apppreciated. Thanks MDixon
  8. Hello All My daughter is 12 and diagnosed 3 weeks ago. She has small stature. She weighs 69 pounlnds and is a head under her peers. She has been taking 3 calcium supplements a day and a Centrum Vitamin. I'm a little worried that that is not enough especially where puberty should be or will be starting. Is anyone giving addtional supplements. I'm also wondering when I will start to see results in her growth. Thanks in advance for any input you may have.
  9. Hi My daughter is 12 and has just been diagnoed w/Celiac. She has small stature and no other symptoms. Her nutritionist suggested we start replacing what she eats now with gluten-free products. Can I trust commercial salad dressings?? I guess I'm not clear on the vinegar part. Can anyone help or suggest a good creamy dressing? Is there any list anywhere that lists gluten free items by brand name and category?? Thanks
