  1. I do spinning, which is cycling on a stationery bike in a class. My feet go numb too. It also happens on a cross trainer.
  2. You can not take the test if you are gluten free. It looks for antibodies in your blood and will not show them if you are gluten free. In England you take the blood test and then have a biopsy. I was told after I had the blood test that he was 99% certain that I had coeliac disease and then I had the biopsy and this confirmed it. In laymans terms for the biopsy there are villi in your gut that absorb vitamins. In a coeliac these get flattened and mean that you can not absorb certain vitamins. Therefore if you are on a gluten free diet the villi could possilbly have healed and then you might be tested negative. So my advice would be to carry on eating gluten but get the tests done asap. I have been gluten free for 4 years and I feel 100% better although it does take time. Good luck with your tests!
  3. Best thing I have when I have been glutened is Aloe Vera juice and lactobacillus acidophilus (both available from Health shops), it really soothes my swollen guts. I just got glutened by Pringles - the Codex Alimentaris wheat starch in them. I think it's on in England that it is allowed. It is supposed to be tolerable to coeliacs but I end up with severe IBS with it. So have learnt my lesson and won't be eating them again.
  4. I get a high temperature when I have been glutened. My best tip for this is to take Aloe Vera juice and lactobacillus acidophilus and eat light meals.
  5. I have been gluten free for four years and I too sometimes have the problem with numbers. I think that there is so much more about Coeliac disease and doctors are just not that interested in it. In the past I have been called a freak at work for taking my own food and on a faddy diet. It saddens me the lack of compassion that some people exhibit. "There for the grace of God go I" would be my philosophy.
