  1. does anyone here have any insight or thought on my labs? Please....
  2. I had testing done for Celiac, as i have been sick for some time. We were not sure if Celiac was the cause of me being sick, but my doc was ok with testing me for it. I got the results hwere, and I am confused with the Gliadan AB part of it.. If one does not have Celiac, can they STILL have a gluten intolerance? Anyway here are the results... TTG <3 <5 Negative 5-8 equivacal >8 Positive Gliadin AB ( IGA ) 3 (should ones body even SHOW antibodies at all too gliadan? ) this is what confuses me. I mean that is like telling me that I ALMOST have hasimoto's thyroiditis ( which BTW I do have ) I was told I do not have celiac, which is ok with me, but this Anti-bodies thing is confusing too me.. I guess too me either you have anti bodies, or you don't.. Or am I thinking wrong.. <11 negative 11-17 equivical >17 Positive Serum IgA 210 ( ref range ... 81-463 ) serum Immunoglobulin G 1075 .... ref range 552-1631 mg/dl Now I do have a more pressing Health Issue, I was just DX'd with Mytochondrail Myopathy via Muscle Biopsy Jan 8th. My muscle tissue was sent off for Genetic testing, so as too what version I have.. I do not know YET, as this testing takes QUITE a while. but if I do have some kind of gluten issue i figured you ppl here would be able too tell me by my labs. The knowledge here I trust.. Missy
  3. I am about too make some banana nut bread, and I bought some of Beths Gluten free flour mix, was wondering what the taste will be like.. I bought some Gluten Free bread, and that was the nastiest stuff I had ever tasted , does the flour have the same kind of taste? Adjusting too gluten free is harder then i thought.. Missy
  4. Nothing in my coffee.. I take my coffee black.. also can you tell me how too find my post I had too go too new posts too find my thread, I do not see it showing up on the board..I am new here so not sure how this works..and THANK YOU very much..you made my night:)
  5. Is foldgers coffee gluten free? See, dumb question huh? I have recently just decided too take my gluten intolerance seriously, so everything in myhouse now is GLUTEN FREE.. forgot the darn spices though.. Need too get those in my home. I am having alot of health issues, and U truely belive it is all food related....I do not tend too have tummy issues all that much.. However I am dealing with mouth sores, dizzyness/lightheadedness ( I am guessing this issue is caused by GLTUEN ) Can gluten cause brain issues, as in vision issues, chronic dizzyness/lightheadedness.. panic/anxiety attacks, motion sickness.. the list is endless..? Anyway I was told i was gluten intoleran 8 month ago..I figured I do not have the TUMMY ISSUES, so they test must be wrong..t, and totally blew it off, My issues seem too stem from the nervous system or like brain wise..Does this make sense? However after 8 months of barely living.. I decided too take this a bit more seriously..So I went shopping..everything I have in my home now is gluten free..but I love my coffee.. Oh how I love my coffee.. I drink Decaf foldgers coffee, and need too know if coffee has gltuen in it.. Missy P.S... If my issues are related too gluten, I know Cottage cheese causes my mouth too burn and I get these little red blood blisters on the inside of my cheeks...Ok got off track there.. I fm yissues are gluten related.. How long after starting gluten free life can I expect too see improvements Thanks for any thoughts or advice you can give..
  6. That List is fantastic.. OMG Thank you so much! Thank you everyone for your warm thoughts and help..I really appreciate it Missy
  7. My name is Missy.. I am a 37 yr old mom too 4 great kids. I recently , 2 months ago, found out through saliva testing, that I am Gluten Intolerant. I am struggling with this life style change, and feel lost and confused, with all of the info out there on this. A bit of background on my Health. I have no idea how this came about, I have never been sick a day in my life.. never any tummy troubles AT ALL.... I had a baby 10 months ago, and ever since his birth my tummy has never been the same, not too mention the terrible mouth issue I seem too be having. I was aslo told I have Candida as well. I honestly think I had thrush during my pregnancy, but no one treated it. During my pregnancy I noticed this very thick white chessy looking coating that was all over my tounge.. My OB at the time said NO not thrush, cause I had no sores..plus, if I ate anything this pain in my mouth would flare up. Fast foward too my sons birth.. I had a c-section, and he was born in january.. I was pre medicated with a pot load of anitbiotics before, during and after his delivery for MVP. Anyway 10 days after my son was born, my family got this horrrible stomach bug. I twas awful. The stomach cramping alone left you praying for death, the diarreha, and vomitting were horrendous as well. I was sick the longest. About 32 days on and off ( I also from saliva testing know I have a depressed immune system ) so I have all these whammies against me. It took me going too Chicago too get any aswers as too what was wrong with me. I see an Osteopath who has saved my life. He did testing on me that 6 different doctors here labled me as anxious and depressed from my sons birth. Anyway.. My stomach has NOT been right since. I deal with on and off again nausea, i seem too be allgergic too ANYTHING even fruits and veggies.. the minute I eat my mouth will start too burn like I just ate hot peppers, and I swear it feels like sores are about too break out, only they never do. Sort of burning raw feeling in my mouth. I am not sure if this is a symptom of Gluten intolerance or not. I'm struggling with reading labels when i go shopping. I know it is wheat, barley, and oats that you are too stay away from but when I read it talks about hidden things as well. Like some processed foods.. So I have no idea what I should or should not buy. Can anyone here lead me in a direction (books, or other info )where it is easy too understand and grasp. Do I just look for wheat, barley and oats on the labels, If this is mentioned.. what, then don't buy it? What do they mean by hidden things in processed foods? All I know is I am allergic too EVERYTHING, even applying my make-up will make my face burn, and turn red. I have never been Ill like this in my life, in fact up until my sons pregnancy which Is when I really think this all started, I thought I was rather healthy My Osteo wants me too do the Candida diet for about 5 months, but I struggle with that too.. No fruit...thats a tough one for me..Is there any books that simplify there information.. something that offers shopping lists, or do's and don'ts too this life style change. I would really appreciate any thoughts or help on this Missy
