  1. Thanks everyone, I did check for side affects and diarrhea is not one of them so I will contact manufacturer to find out if it indeed contains gluten. Thanks again. Lee
  2. MY DAUGHTER STARTED TAKING PEXEVA ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO AND EVER SINCE SHE'S HAD DIARRHEA AGAIN. IS THIS A COINCIDENCE? DOES ANYONE KNOW. I LOOKED THEM UP ON THE INTERNET BUT THERE WAS NO LIST OF INGREDIENTS. THANKS. LEE
  3. HI, HELP! MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN gluten-free NOW 10 MONTHS OR SO AND SUDDENLY LAST WEEK SHE'S BEEN SICK AGAIN. I'VE BEEN PRETTY CAREFUL W/ALL THE PROCESSED PRODUCTS BUT MAYBE I SLIPPED UP. IS THIS A NORMAL THING AND IT'S BEEN ABOUT 1 1/2 WEEKS. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FEEL BETTER AGAIN. I'VE BEEN GIVING HER PEPTO BISMOL, IS THIS OK? I REALLY NEED ADVICE BEFORE I DECIDED TO CALL HER DR. THANKS. LEE
  4. HI, MY DAUGHTER HAS CELIAC AND ENJOYS HAVING BACON FOR BREAKFAST BUT PROBLEM IS IT'S VERY FATTENING! I'D LIKE TO HAVE HER TRY TURKEY BACON BUT CAN'T FIND ANY W/O GLUTEN. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ONE. THANKS.

  6. Thank you celiac3270 for the info. My IGG was 7, which is in the normal range. I don't have any symptoms but my daughter is having a follow up visit w/her gastro dr. next month and I'll ask for his opinion. Thanks again.

  8. I'M THE PARENT OF A 22 YR. OLD WHO WAS DIAGNOSED 9 MONTHS AGO W/CELIAC AND IT WAS RECOMMENDED I HAVE A BLOOD TEST DONE. I DON'T KNOW IF HAVING A 19 H FOR GLIADIN ANTIBODY (IGA) IS WITHIN THE NORMAL RANGE. CAN SOMEONE LET ME KNOW BEFORE I HAVE TO CALL DR.'S OFFICE. THANKS.
  9. Hi, I'm interested too in a recipe exchange. Count me in! Will also check the Delphi website, Thanks. Lee
  10. Yes, I'm thinking they probably did contain traces and now they're stating it in their label! Lee
  11. Hi, Am I glad I've followed the advice to always check labels even if you've been buying the same product for a while. Today I went to my local health food store where I've been buying my daughter's gluten free hamburger/hot dog buns and I noticed the label was different. It now says it contains traces of gluten, wheat, oats and barley!! I had to pay $4.99 for another brand for 4 little buns! I'm going to try baking my own. Thank goodness for all the good advice on this board! Lee
  12. My daughter was always sleepy before she was diagnosed and I found it strange because she never napped before. She's been gluten-free now two months and is napping only occasionally. Good luck. Lee
  13. Hi, Thanks for your information everyone, it's good to hear that celiac disease doesn't make you any more prone to getting flu bugs, etc. She's much better now. Lee
  14. HI, MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN gluten-free NOW 2 MONTHS AND ON MONDAY AFTERNOON W/O ANY ADVANCE WARNING SHE THREW UP (SORRY)! TWO HOURS LATER SHE DID IT AGAIN. SHE'S ALSO DIABETIC ON A PUMP AND HER SUGAR LEVELS PLUMMETED! SHE WAS PRESCRIBED ZOFRAN WHICH STOPPED HER FROM THROWING UP AGAIN AND WAS PUT ON LIQUIDS. SHE'S FINALLY OK NOW, BUT I WAS WONDERING IF HAVING celiac disease MAKES YOU MORE SENSITIVE TO STOMACH VIRUS' ETC. SHE'S VERY HEALTHY OTHERWISE. THANKS FOR ANY RESPONSE. I LOVE THIS BOARD. LEE
  15. Hello, My daughter was diagnosed 2 months ago and hasn't been able to receive communion since. Where does your church get their gluten free wafers? I don't know if you read an article recently about a little girl w/celiac who made her first communion w/a gluten free wafer. The priest from her parish was reprimanded for allowing it and they turned around and would not consider her having made her communion. It was null and voided! How unfair. Lee
