  1. Hello all, I thought I would post this since the owner said business is not doing well. Life Smart Foods is located in Utica, Michigan off of Hall Road (exact address below). They have an amazing selection of gluten-free foods. Two entire grocery aisles on both sides plus an entire row of freezer space filled with gluten-free foods. It's really an amazing selection. The deli also has two gluten-free soups per day with a gluten-free ready to eat desert case filled with gluten-free goodies. There are also gluten-free deli meats ready to slice. Check it out! 5. New Orleans

Hello, I am traveling to New Orleans the last weekend in March. I eat dairy free too. I haven't read a lot of positive info regarding New Orleans restaurants and accommodating the gluten-free diet. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks so much.
  6. Great Restaurant In Naples, Fl

You're welcome! We ate at another good restaurant in Naples also. They have a very extensive gluten-free menu with homemade gluten-free pasta that they make on the premises. After eating there I had some concerns about cross contamination issues as one of my daughters (three of us have celiac) had a reaction. But, here is the info in case you want to give it a try: Noodles Italian Cafe and Sushi Bar Mission Square Plaza - 1585 Pine Ridge Road #5 - Naples FL 34109 - Telephone: 239-592-0050 - Fax: 239-592-0094

  8. Hello. We stumbled upon this AMAZING restaurant in Naples, Florida last week while on vacation. It is called Food and Thought. Everything on their menu is organic and most of their dishes are gluten free. They even had two gluten free soups...I can never order soup in a restaurant. It is a counter service, casual place. The food was fantastic. The restaurant is located inside their little organic market. Everything in the market is organic as well and they had a lot of great gluten-free foods there too. I would highly recommend this place. The website is foodandthought.com and they are located at: FOOD & THOUGHT 2132 Tamiami Trail North The Gateway of Naples Naples, FL 34102 Phone: (239) 213-2222 Fax: (239) 649-0609 RESTAURANT HOURS Monday through Saturday: 9:00 am to 7:30 pm
  9. Can anyone recommend a link to a listing of gluten-free food suggestions that are mainstream (those that can be found in an everday grocery store)? Thanks so much.
  10. Bless you for your expedient reply! Thank you so very, very much.
  11. Hello. I am a coordinator for a support group for Celiac disease in the southeast Michigan area. I was contacted by a very concerned parent in the Jackson, MI area who is very much in need of some help finding area stores to purchase gluten-free food. Jackson is very far from where I live and I am unfamiliar with the area. If anyone can help, please e-mail me directly at kfanelli@mac.com Thank you so much!
  12. It was in regards to autism...but it was mentioned more than once and it was amazing to hear Gluten Free mentioned on Oprah. It was also touched upon how Dr's need to listen to Mother's more and display more respect to parents and their gut instincts. This also is relevant to those of us with Celiac and parents of Celiac children.
