  1. I made this the other night and the hubs loved it. Since it's just the two of us next time I will cut the recipe in half. It is very rich. Thanks for posting.
  2. I use L-Glutamine as well. I only wish I had started using it when I was first diagnosed so that I would have healed a little quicker.
  3. I use Pamela's and do the buttermilk version. Everyone loves it. I think they are better after they have cooled rather than right out of the oven.

  6. This is super easy and really quick. Bobby's Baked Tilapia From Paula's Best Dishes Servings: 4 servings Ingredients: Butter cooking spray (I used olive oil) 4 (6 to 8-ounce) tilapia fillets 1 teaspoon Paula Deen Silly Salt (I use sea salt) Freshly ground black pepper 1 lime, finely grated zest and juice 2 tablespoons butter (you do not have to add this) Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat a large cast iron pan with a nonstick butter spray. (I used a pan and used an olive oil spray). Rinse fish and pat dry; place on the prepared baking sheet. Season each fillet with Silly Salt, cracked pepper, lime zest and lime juice. Add fish to the pan. place a pat of butter on each fillet and ook in the oven for 8-12 minutes. This is so easy. I bought a bag of tilapia at Safeway that has each fillet individually frozen.
  7. I would like to start adding ground flaxseed to my yogurt each morning. I've tried one brand, but it didn't sit too well, so thought I would try another. What are your favorite brands? Thanks!
  8. Since going gluten free, I have experienced a huge improvement in my allergies. I used to take a rx generic allegra and a rx nasal spray every day. I had chronic nasal drip and sinusitis. The docs would ask when my allergies bothered me most and I would tell them it's every single day! I was able to get off the meds very quickly after going gluten-free and I have not had a sinus infection since. So happy this was a positive result of going gluten-free.
  9. My TSH level is always below 1. My doctor does not really look at TSH, but looks at the Free T3 and Free T4 numbers. I feel best when my Free T3 is towards the upper end of the range and my Free T4 is towards the middle.
  10. Like Beachbirdie, I started on Armour until they reformulated it and then switched to Nature-throid. I also take and additional T3 which I get from a compounding pharmacy. I have been taking Nature-throid for a while now and seem to do well on it.

Tracey, I take Bluebonnet Power-Zymes (free of milk, egg, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, corn, yeast, gluten, barley, sodium and sugar.) 100% Kosher vegetable capsule, rice bran, purified water. The probiotic I take is Florasmart by Renew Life. It says may contain traces of milk proteins from fermentation ingredients. Many people have posted about Culturelle and that they really like it. There is a dairy free one. You can do a search on here to find the thread.

    The multi I use is by Solgar. It is the Formula V VM-75. I use the iron free because I don't need the iron anymore, but they have one that also includes the iron. This one is free of yeast, wheat, soy, gluten and dairy products and are formulated without the use of artificial preservatives, flavors or colors. As Rice Guy mentioned, I also use the cherry flavored sublinguals. In fact, I think Rice Guy was the person that recommended them years ago and that is why I chose them. I take two of them, but you have to figure out what works for you. You may be able to get them at your health food store. I have a great health food store near me that is actually knowledgeable. They offer supplements at a discount and will order anything I want if they do not carry it.
