  1. Well thank you. Yeah and i am making an exceptional gluten free cake. It is an AMAZING recipe, its a flourless cake and literally tastes like a chocolate cheesecake. It is soo good that i even make it for NON celiac people lol. I wasn't really concerned about the cake because i know taht is safe, b ut i want to decorate it with cornelli lace and stars from my royal icing recipe. Otherwise its kind of a boring looking cake. She better eat it though! After all this trouble!!!
  2. i was mostly concerned about the corn syrup and powdered sugar. How do i know it it was manu in a plant that processes wheat?
  3. So ihave a friend who is allergic to gluten. And its her birthday. Ive offered to make her a cake. I have a gluten free recipe so the cake is no problem, but i want to decorate it and have no idea if the ingredients (IN the ingredients) have gluten in them....I know that vanilla extract contains gluten but I hear that mcCormik vanilla doesnt.....so i think im good on that. I got a list of things from her boyfriend that she can't eat, but i can't tell if these are in the recipe. Can someone help me? My icing recipe: powdered sugar salt vanilla (use clear if possible to keep icing white) milk water Light Corn Syrup what he told me she can't eat is: Dextrin Malt or Malt Vinegar Monosodium glutamate Soy sauce Carmel color Modified food starch or modified starch Any idea if the above recipe is safe??
