  1. I was just reading the ingredients on a packet of walkers crisps and it says that it's suitable for coeliacs but lists MSG from wheat in its ingredients. How can it contain wheat and be ok at the same time?
  2. Sorry if this is in the wrong section or if I'm being too graphic but I'm trying to decide whether enemas are a good idea. I'm told it's good to completely wash out and cleanse your colon as there can be old waste in there that could even be years old. Well I gave up gluten a month ago... I'm not sure whether I do have gluten intoerance or celiac disease but I've put on over 3kgs which is amazing for me as I've never been able to put weight on. So I've read that people who are sensitive/allergic to gluten have damaged villai which makes it hard to absorb food which I suspect is what was happening to me. Enemas seem like a good idea to me but could they in fact do any damage?
  3. Is My Acne Actually Dh?

Sorry for my ignorance but what is DH? I gave up eating gluten about 3 weeks ago as I realized that my acne only started getting really bad and I started scarring, around the same time as I started to eat a lot of gluten. I don't think I have celiac disease but I have noticed that I'm eating a lot more and am finally putting on weight for the first time in my life So I think I may be slightly gluten intolerant. Well I've just found this category and am wondering whether my acne is in fact DH... what is the difference? I suffer from a few mild white heads but it's the under the skin cyst-like pimples that are doing the most damage. I usually have 2 or 3 and they can last for weeks. Now I have a lot of red marks left over from them and some scarring as well. So does anyone know how long it will take for my skin to clear if this is DH and I stick to my gluten-free diet? Thanks.
  4. I gave up gluten about 2 weeks ago to see whether it was the cause of my acne. For the past week I have been eating loads and my stomach has really expanded. This is weird because I thought that it was gluten that bloated you. I'm not too upset about this... I've been trying to gain weight since I was a kid when everyone called me anorexic. It's just confusing me and I want to find out why this is happening. My meals have got a lot bigger and I'm constantly snacking... it feels like I can't get full even though my stomach looks the fullest it's ever been. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Thanks.
