  1. I have a question: What's wrong with the whipped topping that you can't have it?
  2. For Celiac Disease you only need to be concerned about what is ingested. Since it's not an "allergy". The damage is all done in the small intestine. Shampoos, lotions etc that contain wheat are fine. The only thing I would be concerned of are lipsticks. If they contain gluten it may get ingested. Good luck

  4. Hi Low Carb diet WILL NOT hurt your kidneys. A lot of people think so but it's just not true. The belief probably came from the fact that if your kidneys are already damaged (when you need dialysis) than they can't process protein. Obviously low carb/high protein is dangerous for you then but not if you have normal kidney function. I actually have Polysistic Kidney Disease. My kidneys however funtion at 100% and I've been doing low carb for ages without problems.
  5. I've been going to Montana's for years. It's my favorite place to eat out so when I was diagnosed 2 months ago I contacted them right away to find out what is gluten-free there. I got an immediate response: "We understand that this allergy is a very serious one to have. We take great care to ensure our guests may be able to enjoy our menu when there are allergy alerts. There are a few things we can offer to you: Our herb roasted chicken dinner without the dipping sauce or the corn muffin, and for choice side dishes we can offer baked potato, vegetables, coleslaw or a side salad.
