  1. I usually do about two hours after and get really sick to where I need to stay in bed for at least 4 hours. It usually hits me about an hour after eating. Not fun at all! It's probably best because if I just had diarrhea from eating wheat, I would probably cheat.
  2. What great timing! Today I went to downtown St. Pete and had lunch from a place that said gluten free - vegan and organic foods. I ordered lunch and asked at least three time about gluten and how I would get sick. The guy said "oh no, I wouldn't want to get sick and wouldn't want to get others sick".   3. Thank you everyone for your posts. Paranoid is exactly how I have been feeling. Good to know we can still live as long as the average person. It's been hard because I feel so embarrassed going in to restaurant after restaurant and explaining my situation. It's embarrassing to cry in a restaurant and have to put your sunglasses on.   4. I read a lot of posts, but most people have been newly diagnosed or haven't been gluten free for more than 10 years (at least very few that I have read about!) Does anyone know of anyone with Celiac Disease that is in their late 60's or 70 years plus of age? Just wondering if people with Celiac can live to be 80 plus?   5. Thanks! I will give that a try. I am still looking for the perfect pancake. Pam's is still number 1 but I haven't really tried many other recipes and Pam's is a little doughy on the inside still but is better than nothing. I have already tried cooking it at a lower temp. and longer but still no luck.
  6. Ok, so I ended up using sweet white sorghum flour and not sure if this is why but I thought the pancake tasted like there was sand in my teeth when I would chew. Pamela's pancake mix is still the way to go!
  7. Ingredients is 1/2 cup white rice flour 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/4 cup sweet rice flour 2 tbspns granulated sugar 2 teaspns baking powder 1/4 tspn salt 1 large egg 1/2 cup milk 2 tbspn veg. oil I don't have the sweet rice flour. Anything else I can use?
  8. Thank you! I wear Buxom Lip Gloss and was just wondering if it's gluten free. I too am tired of having to call everyone to check! I just wish the FDA would pass a law saying that all products need to be marked "gluten free" or "contains gluten," contains milk/peanuts/soy etc... Thanks for doing the research!
