About Me

Started having serious stomach & skin problems, headaches & stopped growing at the age of 10.

Soon after stopped eating all meats and fried foods (because of vomiting).

+ Anemia & vitamin deficiencies, depression, hair loss, & severe weight loss as a teen.

(mom thought I was bulemic & hypocondriac)

+ Type II diabetes, migraines, tension headaches, cronic depression in my 20's.

+ Alergies & sinus headaches, crippling joint pain (especially my feet & back), fibromyalgia in my 30's.

(Had just about the whole list of celiac symptoms & dozens of tests, but no DR ever suspected celiacs)

+ Began having TIA's and seisures by age 39.

Just after my 40th birthday, I met another celiac who told me that I had the disease. I've been gluten free since Sep '06 and I no longer have symptoms (unless I get glutened).

Got a blood test several months after going gluten free so it doesn't count. I am unwilling to eat gluten for the sake of a test and I'm sick of tests! I go to a naturopath/celiac expert & I'm getting healthier all the time.

  1. I had lost most of my hair one time in high school and the hospital said that I was severly vitamin deficient. My hair grew back but has had periods where it started thinning again. Now, 28 years later & gluten free, my hair is healthy and my nails have gotten much stronger too. I guess that I should start paying closer attention to my shampoo too. ...
