  1. Does any one know where I can get Green's, New Grist, or Bards Tale Beer in Charlotte? I tried Redbridge, which I was ok, but I wanted to try some other beers out there that are gluten free. Thanks.
  2. The pork and sauerkraut sounds great. What kind of pork and sauerkraut do you use? Do you add any spices?
  3. Anyone know if the starbucks pumpkin spice latte is gluten free?
  4. I have been gluten free now for over 6 weeks. I don't have the stomach gurgling and my stool is pretty normal except for occasional D. I think I probably had some cross contamination. Overall I feel that I have more energy and just have a better overall feeling, but I still have itchiness over my skin. Before going gluten free I had a stomach biopsy that came back positive that indicated the beginning stage of gluten sensitivity, and my blood test came back negative. My GI doctor only suspects Celiac,so she wanted be to be gluten free for 6 weeks and then take the gluten challenge for 2 weeks and then retest my blood work. I am concerned about going back to eating gluten just as I am finally feeling better. I have heard conflicting stories about the Gluten Challenge. Any thoughts out there?
  5. Thanks for your help. I am following up with the clinical pharmacist. I also am new to getting gluten sensitivity. I have been gluten free now for 6 weeks and I am feeling much better. Hope you are doing better.

  7. I take a cholesterol lowering medication called SIMCOR. Does anyone know if SIMCOR is gluten free?
  8. Well I have been on a gluten free diet for 5 weeks now, and most of my GI Symptoms have either gone away or reduced significantly. I did have a couple issues of getting gluten inadvertently, and I found that it took about 3 or 4 days for my GI symptoms to go away after getting glutened. Now my only symptom that has not gone away is my itchy skin. I don't have any rash or bumps, but my skin just is itchy in different parts of my arms, legs, chest and feet. The itchiness comes and goes, but it seems I have some itchy skin in at some part of my body most of the time. What can I do to get rid of this? Is this something that will take longer to go away?
  9. I went to a dermatologist and she prescribed me some lotion which I used and the itchy rash went away within a week and the rash has not come back, but my arms occasionally feel itchy even though the rash has gone away. I don't know if it still has something to do with my gluten sensitivity. If the rash comes back I will get the biopsy on my arm. Anyway I started on my gluten free diet for a couple of days now, so I will see how things go. Thanks.
  10. I am a 51 year old male who has just starting having gluten sensitivity over the last several months. About 5 months ago I tested positive for the Giaridia parasite. After 3 different drugs and 12 weeks I was able to get rid of the parasite, however I continued to have symptoms. I had a GI doctor do a biopsy and it showed that I had gluten sensitivity. At that time I was having a lot of stomach cramps and diarrhea. I also started to get an itchy rash on the under side of both my arms. I went for a blood test for the antibodies, but it came back negative. So it looks like I have gluten sensitivity, but not celiac. I am starting on a gluten free diet. Since my blood test is negative, can this gluten sensitivity eventually go away if I give my body time after being on a gluten free diet? Also, I like to exercise and do weight training, but I am concerned that I may lose too much body weight and energy on a gluten free diet. Are there any gluten free foods that can help me maintain a good calorie intake, and help me maintain my current weight?
